Shanghai Tour

10th April 2013

Aurora’s 2013 adventures include the orchestra’s first visit to China, with five concerts at the Shanghai Concert Hall exploring the music of the twentieth century. The visit is staged in collaboration with Southbank Centre and includes performances of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf (with Suzie Templeton’s Oscar-winning film), and Bernstein’s West Side Story Symphonic Dances in Iain Farrington’s arrangement for chamber orchestra.  Keep an eye on this news blog and May newsletter for stories from the tour.
