Designed for families, Aurora’s debut appearance as part of the BBC Proms main season at the Royal Albert Hall features a thrillingly eclectic array of repertoire, ranging from chamber orchestral gems by Lully and Adams to huge symphonic masterpieces by Shostakovich, Prokofiev and Bernstein. For the second half of the concert, Aurora is joined by the talented young members of the National Youth Chamber Orchestra, also appearing for the first time at the Proms.
