We regret to announce that Sir Colin Davis is indisposed and will no longer be able to conduct this performance as originally advertised.

We are delighted, however, that Aurora’s Principal Conductor Nicholas Collon has agreed to step in at short notice to conduct the concert, which will also be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, and is presented by Petroc Trelawny .

Works include the ravishing concert aria ‘Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio!’ (with soprano Fflur Wyn) and Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major (Thomas Gould, violin). The ‘Linz’ Symphony, produced in a four-day explosion of inspiration that marked Mozart’s emergence as a mature symphonist, completes an unmissable feast of music for the new year.
