Past event: Bartók and Agatha the Pirate

Join Aurora Orchestra for a magical treasure hunt adventure with Agatha the pirate. With brand new chamber arrangements of music by Béla Bartók, audiences will meet a host of glimmering jellyfish, sail the high seas and play hide-and-seek with a wonderfully wicked parrot. With a specially-commissioned story from writer Kate Wakeling and a host of playful opportunities to take part in the music led by animateur Jessie Maryon Davies, these performances in the round promises a playful introduction to Bartók’s music.

Age guidance
Early years performance recommended for children aged 0-4 (30 mins)
Family performance recommended for 5+ with younger siblings welcome (45 mins)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) workshops suitable for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability.
