Far Far Away: Chopin Preludes & Waltzes

Early Years Performances

Gallop or cartweel or amble or trot,
steal teaspoons to get there, cast spells, hatch a plot.
Uncurl your ears, loose your toes for a day
and Aurora will carry you far, far away…

Join Aurora Orchestra for a magical, musical adventure of Chopin waltzes, dancing dragonflies and a very sleepy tortoise. Meet chattering streams, leaping chicks and help the springtime sun to shine in this multi-sensory concert, performed in-the-round.

Blending brand new chamber arrangements of Chopin’s Preludes and Waltzes with a specially-commissioned story from writer Kate Wakeling and a host of playful opportunities to take part in the music led by animateur Jessie Maryon Davies, this interactive performance promises a magical and mischievous introduction to Chopin’s music.

Suitable for ages 0-5

Performance length: 30 minutes
