Aurora Orchestra returns to the Deal Festival with a prohibition-inspired programme, featuring the melodic, infectious swing of Man Overboard, and Aurora’s very own Stéphane Grappelli, Thomas Gould.
Liquor-up those ears for a dizzying new arrangement of Porgy and Bess by Aurora’s arranger-in-residence, Iain Farrington, a deep-fizz punchbowl of Stravinsky’s ‘Dumbarton Oaks’, Paganini’s athletic Caprice No. 5, and Rameau’s high-falutin’, spirit-liftin’ Les Indes Galantes. All will set the feet a-tapping.
