You are invited to a masquerade ball.
There are 7 rooms in this ball.
Each a different colour.
Outside these walls rages a terrible plague – the Red Death.
Follow instructions. Be careful who you speak to.
And beware the chimes of midnight.
A gothic evening of mystery, drama, and games. We invite you to a different type of masquerade ball and explore the dark world of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Masque of the Red Death that inspired Caplet’s Conte fantastique for harp and strings.
Grab a drink and settle in for a revelatory late-night series. Curated by Aurora Principal Players, each intimate and informal performance takes you on a journey of musical discovery across diverse genres and art forms. Expect eclectic musical encounters that unfold in new and surprising ways, from entering otherworldly dimensions in electronic music to learning the steps to a rip-roaring hoedown.
Doors open – 9.45pm
Music begins – 10.15pm
