Past event: Wigmore Hall: Julian Anderson

Julian Anderson curates a concert of compelling reflections on the music of poetry and the poetry of music. Aurora opens with the rhythmic intensity of Stravinsky’s Concertino for string quartet, alongside Anderson’s own Poetry Nearing Silence, an eight-movement suite inspired by the drawings and poems of Tom Phillips. The performance also includes the world premiere of Augusta Read Thomas’ new work featuring soprano, Claire Booth.

Aurora Orchestra gratefully acknowledges support from PRS for Music Foundation.
