Megan joined the Aurora administration team as the Projects Director in June 2016. Prior to that, she spent three and a half years in Sydney working as the Tour Manager for the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Megan’s interest in orchestral management began whilst running her university symphony orchestra, in the ten years since then she has worked in production, planning and touring for various other arts organisations including Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Glyndebourne. In her spare time, Megan can be found perusing vintage furniture shops or enjoying a fine single malt scotch.
Working in production for an arts organisation means that we are very privileged to see the way the projects develop from initial rehearsals up to the final performances. My top memory is being an honorary fill-in three-year-old at Far Far Away rehearsals watching the magic unfold as the players went on their journey with Pepper the Monkey.
