Concerts Manager vacancy

Aurora is recruiting for a Concerts Manager to support the planning and production of its calendar of activities, including performances, broadcasts and recordings, and national and international touring. Based at the orchestra’s headquarters at Kings Place in London, the position offers an opportunity to play a key role in delivering the vibrant and varied artistic programme of one of the UK’s most dynamic and innovative arts organisations, in the process developing unusually varied production experience and professional networks.

Positioned at the heart of Aurora’s small management team, the Concerts Manager will work closely with the Projects Director, Creative Director and Artistic Director to produce the orchestra’s richly varied artistic programme. Combining a variety of office-based planning functions with practical responsibilities at rehearsals, performances, recording sessions and on tour, this role will demand excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, combined with flexibility and initiative. The successful candidate will share Aurora’s commitment to artistic excellence and innovation, and will have significant experience of complex event production within an orchestral context. As part of the role the Concerts Manager will be required to carry out stage management duties and oversee the transport of equipment for projects, including driving the company van.
