Development Officer – Job Opportunity

14 March 2019

Aurora Orchestra creates vibrant musical adventures that share a passion for orchestral music with the broadest possible audience. We reimagine orchestral performance in new and illuminating ways, bringing together world-class performance, bold programming, creative concert formats and collaborations across art forms.

Following a period of rapid artistic and organisational growth, we’re seeking to appoint a Development Officer to support our Director of Development & Strategic Planning in implementing fundraising strategy and managing the orchestra’s portfolio of individual, trust and public supporters. This new role will have particular responsibility for stewarding supporters and managing delivery of high-quality events, while working with the Director of Development & Strategic Planning to achieve revenue from individuals, grantmakers and businesses. The postholder will also work closely with our Chief Executive to provide administrative support to the board. This is a great opportunity to play a pivotal role at a creative arts organisation, making a real contribution to Aurora’s progress.

Ideally we’re looking for someone with previous experience of working in a Development role (not necessarily in the arts), who is keen to broaden their fundraising experience at the front line of an arts organisation. As this is a new position, with some flexibility on how it is structured, we are open to considering an exceptional graduate who is able to demonstrate why they are suitable for this opportunity.

Full details of the role and application process here. We’ve extended the chance to apply until 9am on Monday 8 April.
