Our Southbank Centre 2020/21 Season

19 February 2020

Announcing our 2020/21 Southbank Centre season!

We’re presenting three colourful concerts that invite you into three distinct, vibrant worlds. Expect an exploration of time from the playful to the nightmarish, a journey through the shades of love, and a special collaboration with violinist Nicola Benedetti.

Staged at our Associate Orchestra home the Queen Elizabeth Hall, these orchestral adventures spark exciting conversations across musical genres and art forms, including Frank Zappa’s anarchic tour de force The Adventures of Greggery Peccary, Piazolla’s tangos with dancers, a memorised performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with Nicola Benedetti – all within the imaginative setting of our Orchestral Theatre series.

Here’s what to look forward to.
