HUSH HUSH FOLKS! Aurora Orchestra presents a prohibition-inspired programme, featuring the melodic, infectious swing of Man Overboard and Aurora’s very own Stéphane Grappelli, Thomas Gould.
Liquor-up those ears for a dizzying new arrangement of Porgy & Bess by Aurora’s arranger-in-residence Iain Farrington, a deep-fizz punchbowl of Stravinsky’s Dumbarton Oaks, Paganini’s athletic Caprice No 5, and Rameau’s high-falutin’, spirit-liftin’ Les Indes Galantes to set the feet a-tapping. And special guests Man Overboard join Aurora for new swing arrangements that promise to bring the house down.
