.We make our Harrogate Festival debut with a joyful programme that journeys from intimate nostalgia to blazing celebration, culminating in a memorised performance of Mozart’s mighty Jupiter Symphony.
Mozart’s piano concerto, with its lyricism and richly woven melodic texture, perfectly captures the charm and intimacy of his early Viennese style. As for the ‘Jupiter’ symphony (presented here from memory), it’s a majestic work fizzing with so many ideas that Mozart seems barely able to fit them all in. And for an energetic opening: Jessie Montgomery’s joyful work for strings drawing on American folk idioms and the spirit of the dance.
General sale starts 18 March 2026.
