An update from Aurora
We’re deeply sorry to confirm that in line with current government advice we’ve suspended all our performing activity for the time being.
We’re heartbroken not to be sharing with you the concerts that our players and production team have been working so hard to deliver over the coming weeks, but of course in these unprecedented times we must above all protect the health of our audiences, artists and staff. We know that you too will be facing many challenges at this time and are thinking of you. We’d like to share with you a personal message from our Principal Conductor, Nicholas Collon.
As a small organisation which depends mainly on the income we earn from our concerts, we’re in no doubt that the next few months will be very challenging, for us, for all our colleagues in the sector, and for our players, who work with us on a freelance basis. At the moment we don’t know how long the current crisis will last and what its full impact will be. But we are determined to emerge from it as a musical force more vibrant than ever, with a host of thrilling concerts planned for the 2020/21 season and beyond. In the meantime we’re exploring all sorts of creative ways to stay closely in touch with you, so that we can still enjoy music together during this period of closure. Knowing that you will have many things to think about at the moment, if you are in a position to help Aurora with a financial donation at this particularly challenging time we will be hugely grateful for your support.
Please sign up for our e-newsletter below and follow our social channels to keep up to date with our plans. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon but until then we send our thoughts and very best wishes to you and your loved ones.
