What is the Life-Changing Music Campaign?
The Life-Changing Music Campaign is Aurora Orchestra’s 20th anniversary match funding campaign. All donations made to the orchestra throughout our anniversary year will be doubled (while match funds last) up to our target of £250,000 .
How will my donation be doubled?
Over the last year we have raised a match funding pot of £250,000 which will be used to double all donations made to Aurora during the anniversary year. This has been raised thanks to the generosity of The Nicholas Snowman Circle – a new group of major donors – building on a legacy gift from Nicholas Snowman OBE, the Trustee, Patron and great friend of Aurora who sadly died in 2023. The match funds are being held as designated funds, to be released as unrestricted funds for spending on Aurora’s general charitable purposes once corresponding income has been raised. During the anniversary year, all donations made to Aurora will be doubled in this way as part of the Campaign, while the match funds last. So a donation of £60 will be doubled to £120, £500 will be doubled to £1000, £1000 will be doubled to £2000 – and so on! This includes all regular donations made to us as part of our membership programme, in addition to one-off gifts.
Is there a minimum or maximum donation?
No! As a small charity, every donation we receive makes a difference. Recurring direct debit donations are particularly helpful for our future planning. For regular gifts, our suggested minimum donation to join the Aurora Friends is from £60 per year (just £5 per month). Can I add Gift Aid to my donation?
Yes. If you are a UK taxpayer, you can add Gift Aid to your donation by ticking the Gift Aid declaration when you make your donation online.
What payment methods can I use?
All donations made to Aurora during our anniversary year will be doubled as part of the Life-Changing Music Campaign. The easiest way to make a donation is via the ‘Donate to Aurora’ page of our website. We also accept donations via CAF or BACS transfer.
