Rachel Mortimer

Trustee

Rachel began her career as a corporate lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills, before moving into senior leadership roles in the finance sector as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. She later transitioned to the public sector, serving as COO of the Government’s corporate finance and advisory arm, the Shareholder Executive, and later of UK Government Investments.

With a long-standing interest in leadership, organisational culture, and change, Rachel now runs her own leadership coaching practice. She works with a wide range of clients – including CEOs, non-executive directors, lawyers, civil servants and entrepreneurs – to support their professional growth and personal development.

A lifelong music lover, Rachel has sung with several leading amateur choirs, including the London Philharmonic Choir, New London Singers, and Pegasus, and is also a keen pianist. She divides her time between London and Chamonix, where she pursues her passion for the outdoors. She regularly takes part in ultra-distance road cycling events and enjoys skiing, hiking, and offering walk-and-talk coaching in the French Alps.
