Dame Liz Forgan DBE

Chair

Liz Forgan was formerly a journalist (The Evening Standard, The Guardian) and media executive (Founding editor Channel 4, MD BBC Network Radio). She has been Chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council England, The Scott Trust, the Guardian Foundation, the Bristol Old Vic and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. A former flautist, she was taught timpani in an emergency by James Blades. She sings with the Crouch End Festival Chorus and is on the boards of the Landmark Trust and the Art Fund. She is a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres and an Honorary Fellow of the British Academy.
