Katherine Hudson sits on Aurora’s Board and its Fundraising, and Strategy & Governance sub-committees. She divides her time between London, where she is a fundraising strategy consultant, and Cambridge, where she is studying for a PhD in ideas of value in culture. Katherine has spent her career working for charities and the arts, specialising in the museums sector. She plays violin, badly, and used to play viola in a post-rock band.
I have many fantastic memories of Aurora – from watching Björk rehearsals and memorised performances at the BBC Proms to the amazing sensory overload of the interactive ‘orchestral theatre’ concerts – but my favourite has to be watching Mozart’s Requiem in Hall One of King’s Place, and being totally overcome by the power and brilliance of the orchestra up close.
