I have a huge number of great memories thanks to Aurora, some from the very earliest days – Mahler 4 in Aldeburgh, Stravinsky’s 'Apollo' with Michael Clark Company, and more recently wonderful tours to Brazil, Mexico and Australia. However my favourite memory must be the televised BBC Prom in 2015 performing Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony by heart. When the calm of last movement arrives after the drama of the ‘storm’ and the second violins are the first to play the theme… what a moment!
